Ron Smith Cleared Of All Charges

Comic book legend Ron Smith has been cleared of all charges in his trial for sexually abusing a 13 year old girl.

Mr Smith’s daughter Sue Carr contacted The Morningstarr* today to tell us her father was found not guilty on all counts by Guildford Crown Court. 80 year old Ron, a former Air Force soldier who is battling skin cancer, has maintained his innocence throughout the five day trial.

“It is just so ridiculous,” he said.

“I never touched her in any way or at any point,” Smith added.

“I certainly never had sex with her and I did not rape her. I did not even go near her, it just did not happen.”

Ron Smith is highly revered amongst 2000ad fans for his inspirational work on Judge Dredd during the late 1970s and right through the 1980s.
