Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on June 9, 2009
The Tanzanian Citizen has reported today some of the gruesome details of the albino murder trials which began in Tanzania yesterday.
Four men stand accused of murdering a 54 year old mentally retarded man called Lyaku Willy last November. One of the accused is Mr Willy’s own brother in law, who is alleged to have tricked Mr Willy into leaving his home so he could be butchered in private.
The court was told that Mboje Mawe, Chenyenye Kishiwa, Sayi Gamaya and Sayi Mafizi lured Lyaku Willy away from his home by promising to take him to a hospital for treatment of an ulcer on his leg. Willy’s brother in law Sayi Gamaya arranged for himself and his three accomplices to accompany Willy to the hospital with an overnight journey that began at 01:00am.
It is alleged that once the men were several kilometres away from their village they convinced Willy to wash his leg in a river before reaching hospital. As Willy complied with their request Chenyenye Kishiwa grabbed him and forced him under the water, drowning him. The four men then dragged his body from the water and began hacking off his legs with a machete. After the legs had been removed the body was then decapitated and the remains thrown down a well.
Mboje Mawe allegedly admitted during interrogation that he and the three other men had committed the crime, and he had Willy’s decapitated head and severed limbs hidden at his home. The four men planned on selling the body parts to a witch doctor.
All four men have pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case continues.
