Attempted Train Suicide

This remarkable footage from a CCTV camera shows a woman in Israel attempting to commit suicide by lying in front of an oncoming train.

The woman ignores the warnings of a railway worker and deliberately lies down on the train tracks as the train approaches. The fast moving train runs straight over the woman for several seconds, but amazingly the woman then gets back up and staggers off.

The video was broadcast on Israeli TV network Channel 2, and according to the channel the woman was later picked up by police and taken to hospital where she was treated for a bruise to the noggin. She is now in psychiatric care.
