The Contra Costa Times have produced this video which shows a two headed snake in a San Francisco pet shop.

Aron Dickey who owns Hayward’s Reptile Room says the chances of a two headed snake being born is as low as 10 million to one. In the wild the red tailed boa would have almost certainly died.

Now Dickey is receiving offers to buy the snake, which he hasn’t actually advertised for sale. One interested party runs a museum for deformed animals and has offered $7500, there have also been several other offers in that region.

“It would probably be worth $10,000 after it eats, and $15,000 after it poops,” Dickey said. “The more it eats, the better it thrives, the more the cost goes up. I could probably get $20,000 for it later.”

Dickey is keen to sell the reptile before it dies on him.
