Shortened sentence due to testicle injury

A man in Sweden has been given a reduced sentence due to the suffering he had already received thanks to his victim’s dog savaging his ballbag.

Local press in Helsingborg, Sweden are reporting that the 32 year old man attacked his girlfriend with a knife, stabbing her twice in the back. During the attack the woman’s pet rottweiler jumped into action and mauled the man’s testicle sack. The man then used the knife on the dog and stabbed it in the throat, it is unknown whether the canine bollock-biter survived it’s injuries.

Shockingly the Helsingborg District Court gave the man a reduced sentence because of the injuries he sustained from the dog’s teeth. They dismissed his claim that he acted in self defence after the woman ordered her dog to attack, and he was found guilty of aggravated assault and sentenced to the reduced term of just 18 months. Does that sound fair?
