Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on May 23, 2009
Joe Cornish is probably best know as the taller one from the superb Adam and Joe Show, which went out in the late 90s on Channel 4 just as the pubs closed. He is also the screenwriter for Steven Spielberg’s eagerly awaited Tin Tin movie starring Simon Pegg.
This week Screen Daily have reported that Cornish is set to write and direct his first movie, Attack the Block should begin production later in the year. It’s being pitched as a Shaun of the Dead style action comedy which evolves around an alien invasion of South London which is thwarted by a gang of chav’s in hoodies.
Film4 are the company backing Cornish. I hope Adam Buxton gets a part, he was fine in Hot Fuzz.
