Father Eats Son’s Eyeball

Details are emerging about a shocking case of child cruelty in America, a father has reportedly bitten out his four year old son’s eyeball and eaten it.

This strange story of cannibalism is unfolding in Bakersfield, California where late last month police were called out to an apartment where a young child had suffered terrible injuries to his face and hands. Bakersfield Now reports that on 28th April four year old Angelo Mendoza Jr was found lying naked in a pool of blood with one eye missing and the other seriously injured. 34 year old Angelo Mendoza, who is wheelchair bound allegedly bit his young son on the hands and face, he bit out one of the boy’s eyes and ate it. Witnesses say he then left the apartment with a manic expression on his face and began hacking at his own legs with an axe.

My daddy ate my eyes

Doctor’s say young Angelo will never see again, his left eye and surrounding muscle was completely bitten away and eaten by his father the right eye is beyond repair. The little boy also had severe bite injuries to his hands. When questioned by investigating police officers Angelo told them “My daddy ate my eyes.”

Police believe that Mendoza was under the influence of PCP, Angel Dust. A neighbour stopped Mendoza from cutting his leg off with the axe, but now he knows what happened to young Angelo the neighbour says he wished he hadn’t bothered.

“I would’ve just let him cut his leg off. What happened to his son is not right. I would’ve left him alone,”

Angelo Jr is now in the care of the authorities, his father faces charges of mayhem, torture, child cruelty and inflicting an injury to a child. His bail is set at $1 million and he will appear in court on 20th May (Wednesday).
