Veterinary surgeons in Australia have pieced together a green tree frog after it was badly injured in a lawnmower collision.
The Metro has released these amazing pictures which show how vets anaethetised the tiny amphibian and pieced it back together to save it’s life.
Ark Animal Hospital vet Stephen Cutter explained that the frog had been badly injured by it’s encounter with a lawnmower, the skin had been ripped from it’s back and it had also suffered internal injuries.
“It was a pretty horrific injury,” he said.
“It basically took the top layer of the skin off and did some internal injuries. But from day one she fought to live. It’s very lucky to be alive.”
“Frogs have reasonably loose skin so we just pulled it together and sewed it up.”
