Medium, the paranormal drama starring Patricia Arquette has landed itself a sixth season.
In the current economic climate more and more decent TV shows have been canned by television companies based solely on the cost to produce them. In recent weeks Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Pushing Daisies, Demons and Dirty, Sexy Money have all faced the chop, with other cult shows like Chuck, Primeval and Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse all under threat of cancellation due to the expensive costs involved in producing these shows.
It is good news then that NBC have decided to renew their contract to produce Medium, although the sixth season may have fewer episodes, much like what has happened with their other hit show Heroes. NBC are also said to be finalising the deal to produce another season of the excellent comedy My Name Is Earl.
