FringeFox have just announced that the J.J. Abrams sci-fi show Fringe will be getting a second season and it will be a full 22 episodes long.

The news isn’t coming as much of a surprise, the show has been very popular on both sides of the Atlantic. Season one is currently showing in the UK on Sky 2 on Monday nights at 23:00. J.J. Abrams is also Fox’s golden boy at the moment, his Star Trek prequel will be hitting the cinemas later this month, and his other show Lost has been a huge success since it first kicked off. Some might say J.J. Abrams can do no wrong.

The official announcements regarding the futures of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse will be made by Fox on Monday 18th May. Although many are already saying these shows are over.
