Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on May 2, 2009
A website has suddenly popped up supposedly offering a reward for anyone providing proof of a previously unheard of “Channel Creature” in the English Channel.
The website hosts a number of videos, one of which they claim shows the shadow of a fast moving sea creature in the English Channel, then a couple of witness testimonies which are quite obviously done with actors. I happened upon the footage and a link to the site on Unexplained Mysteries.Com, but my impression is the Channel Creature is a rather elaborate hoax/joke or some kind of viral marketing campaign. So I was eager to plug it whilst it’s still fresh. In the site’s comments there are a few mentions of the TV show Primeval, fingers crossed it will turn out to be a marketing campaign on their behalf.
The Association of Marine Research have a number of hypotheses as to what the phenomena is, a submarine, the result of global warming or possibly a whale. Check the website out yourselves and watch the videos, what do you make of it?
