Cincinnati’s Masked Avenger

Cincinnati in Ohio is lucky enough to have it’s own costume wearing crime fighter. Shadow Hare has been thrust into the media spotlight when last week WLWT ran the story of the heroic vigilante who is patrolling the dangerous streets of Cincinnati helping the hopeless.

The real life superhero keeps his true identity a closely guarded secret, like any good superhero would, but it is known that he is a 21 year old man from Milford. Shadow Hare has revealed that he lived an abused childhood growing up in foster homes and this led him to want to help others, or perhaps seek retribution on a society he believes wronged him somehow by attacking everything he sees as evil or corrupt.

From reading his few online blog entries Shadow Hare seems to spend a lot of the time feeding homeless people and chatting to drunken, vulnerable women, but he claims to have at least tried to track a dangerous sex attacker in San Diego and he also says he received a dislocated shoulder whilst tackling a mugger. It’s not clear whether or not he apprehended the mugger, or any other villains.

The caped champion has been fighting crime for four years now, mostly on solo missions, but he’s also teamed up with other costumed avengers that he meets over the internet and has recently put together a team who patrol with him. The “Allegiance of Heroes” are tooled up with handcuffs, pepper spray and tazers so woe betide any wrongdoers who cross their path.
