Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on April 24, 2009
Residents in Plymouth are being forced to keep their pets indoors as a sadistic criminal is murdering cats.
The Plymouth Herald reports that two felines were discovered mutilated in the woods yesterday morning. An elderly dog walker happened upon the butchered remains of the two cats, one believed to be a seven year old moggy named Pebbles was cut in two and a younger kitten was decapitated.
Local residents fear a cat serial killer is behind the slayings, last summer two other cats were found in the same area, one suffocated the other hanged from a tree.
The cat pictured, Pebbles belonged to a 31 year old disabled local woman who is simply devastated by her loss. The lady’s mother Andrea Murchie told The Herald that she couldn’t bear to tell her daughter the full story, to save her tears. Instead Andrea told her daughter that Pebbles died in a traffic accident, I hope she doesn’t read here or The Plymouth Herald for a few days.
Mrs Murchie has called for the lynching and hanging of the perpetrators if they are ever caught.
The second cat, really only a kitten, is believed to have belonged to a local man who has been advertising it’s disappearance for a few weeks now. The reward did not stipulate “dead or alive”.
Police are now investigating the horrific crime, anyone with any information should contact the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111, quoting log number 471 of April 23.
