Two men in the Russian city of Perm have been arrested on suspicion of murder after they admitted to killing their brother and feasting off his flesh for as long as six months.
The two men, identified by police only as 28-year-old Timur G and 23-year-old Marat G initially told cops their brother was missing. The police became suspicious and raided the brothers home where they found the skeleton of eldest brother Rafis buried in the garden.
Russian newspaper Tvoi De has today reported that the two men have confessed to their crimes and told police the full story.
28 year old Timur had already served a ten year prison sentence for killing a neighbour, and he held his brother Rafis responsible for that as it was he who informed the police of the murder. On his release from prison Timur went back to live with both his brothers and one night an argument broke out, Timur and Marat teamed up and beat their older brother to death. Timur had no intention of going to back to prison again so the plan was hatched to dispose of Rafis’ body. The two brothers cut off Rafis’ head and buried it in the garden, then they stripped the flesh from his bones and stored it in the freezer. They fed from his remains for the next six months, and buried the dry bones in the garden.
It took the police months to build up a strong enough case to search the home, by which time the flesh had all been devoured but they did find the bones buried in a shallow grave in the garden.
