More Snakes On A Plane!

You may remember the Air India flight last September which had an escaped snake aboard, well now it’s happened again!

This time it was a Quantas flight, and it was four pythons which escaped from their cages in the plane’s luggage compartment. Fortunately no one on the Alice Springs to Melbourne flight was aware the snakes were loose, and no one spotted any of the serpents slithering around the plane. In fact it only became known that there had been four pythons loose among the passengers after the plane landed and ground crew realised the snakes cages were empty.

A full scale search of the aircraft was carried out, but the snakes could not be found. The airline had a tough decision to make, they could either take the plane apart looking for the reptiles or fumigate the aircraft.

“We had a choice of basically taking the whole aircraft apart to search for the snakes – or fumigating it,” said a Qantas spokesman.

“That would destroy the snakes but at least we would then be sure. So we agreed that fumigation was the best option.” The plane will be returned to service once it has been declared free of all fumes.

“You can just imagine the scene on board if someone looked down and saw a snake slithering around their feet – and then someone else saw another,” said a Qantas passenger.

“There would be absolute mayhem.”

So now there is a Quantas plane in service with the rotting corpses of four dead pythons aboard. Nice.
