Urine drinker Alan Patton has received a 60 day jail term for collecting young boys urine in order to drink it.
Patton was arrested in June last year after undercover police officers caught him loitering in public restrooms placing plastic cups in urinals to collect children’s pee to drink. Patton insisted he was doing no harm and suffered from a condition known as urophilia, as he hadn’t actually interfered with any of the young boys physically he hadn’t broken any existing laws. But in March new legislation was introduced in Ohio that makes collecting someone’s urine without their permission illegal, and a repeat offence a felony.
Patton pleaded no contest to the charges and received the 60 day sentence, he appealed and was released pending the result. On Friday (10 April) a judge ruled against his appeal and he will begin his 60 day sentence later this month.
At present Patton is still at large and yesterday (April 12) police were called to an Ohio grocery store where Patton had been recognised by staff and asked to leave the premises. Patton insists he wasn’t doing anything wrong and police did not arrest him. He is however permanently banned from entering the grocery store.
In an exclusive interview with 10TV News Patton had this to say about the incident:
“I’m not engaging in any offensive behavior, and I feel that when I shop, I shop for the things I need,” Patton said. “I don’t need to be harassed in the process of doing that.”
“I know the past is a concern,” Patton told 10TV News. “Now I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m merely shopping, going about my day in a lawful manner.”
