An exclusive BBC exhibition is due to open at Coventry Transport Museum on 13th March, the exhibition originally ran at London’s Earl’s Court Museum Hall and was a huge success but the Coventry version will be even bigger and better.
The exhibition will grow even bigger throughout the year as new props and costumes are added from this years Doctor Who specials as they are broadcast. Along with familiar costumes like the Doctor’s trademark long coat visitors will also come face to face with many of the Doctor’s biggest enemies, and we mean biggest! The exhibition boasts the complete monster costume for the Empress of Racnoss, the biggest and most challenging monster creation Doctor Who production has ever known.
Martin Wilkie, from Experience Design Management, said about the exhibition: “Doctor Who is a family programme and we’ve designed the exhibition with a family audience in mind.
“It will be a journey of adventure for both the old Doctor Who fans and the new generation.
“We wanted a Midlands based exhibition and Coventry was ideal.
“There is a huge space available here and it has the best inner city location – it’s accessible by car, train and the bus so has great transport links.”
The exhibition will run until 18th September 2009, tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for children. For more information click here: Doctor Who Exhibition at The Coventry Transport Museum.
