Dustin Radke from Grant County in Wisconsin has pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to dig up a corpse with the intention of having sex with it.

In September 2006 Radke agreed to assist his two friends, twin brothers Nicholas and Alexander Grunke in a plan to exhume recently deceased 20 year old Laura Tennessen. Laura had died the previous month in a motorbike accident, on reading her obituary and seeing her picture in the local paper Nicholas Grunke hatched the idea of digging her up and having sex with her.

On 2nd September 2006, five days after Laura’s untimely demise the three men drove to the Cassville cemetery where she was buried stopping off on the way to purchase condoms from a Wal-Mart. Once there the three men set about digging up the girl’s body for sex. A nearby resident reported a suspicious car parked near the cemetery and a police patrol car was sent to investigate. The police officers found Radke in the cemetery grounds, he immediately blurted out the necrophilic plan and told the officers that his two friends were in the process of exhuming Laura Tennessen. The police officers raced to the graveside to find the Grunke brothers had fled the scene but Laura’s grave had been disturbed and the earth had been removed revealing the top of her concrete tomb. The brothers were picked up later that evening walking home. All three men face charges of attempted third-degree sexual assault.

Alexander and Nicholas Grunke have yet to enter a plea to the charges.
