Drunken Surgeon Sacked

Consultant surgeon Ramasankerpersad Jairam has had his licence erased from the medical register after he drank excessive amounts of vodka and trashed his living quarters with vomit and faeces.

Dr Jairam was drafted in from Holland to ease staff shortages at Coventry’s Walsgrave Hospital, but on his first day of work he turned up for his shift stinking of booze and full of vodka. A junior doctor was so concerned about Dr Jairam’s condition he took a blood sample and discovered the surgeon was four times over the drink drive limit.

Staff at the hospital sent the doctor back to his hospital quarters, and after just one week Dr Jairam resigned his position and moved out of the hospital buildings. When cleaning staff came to clear his room they discovered it littered with empty vodka bottles, and vomit and faeces were smeared on the carpets and curtains. The carpets had to be steam cleaned, and the curtains which the surgeon had clearly used to wipe his backside on after defecating, were burned.

This week the General Medical Council made a decision to permanently remove Dr Jairam from the medical register and not allow him to practice medicine in the UK ever again.
