Businessman Kills Himself With Chainsaw

A Dubai businessman who was suffering the effects of the economic downturn has committed suicide using an electric chainsaw to saw his head off.

The police reports state that on Wednesday 7th January 2009 a 60 year old failing businessman was discovered by his wife drenched in blood, his head nearly fully separated from his body. His wife switched off the still running chainsaw and covered the body with a sheet.

The family gave reports to the police stating that the man’s investments in construction and real estate had run into trouble and he could not afford to pay his creditors or employees. The man’s business acquaintances confirmed the story and the police accepted the story of suicide.
