64 year old New Zealander David Browne has been nicknamed the “Picton Belcher” due to his antisocial habit of belching in women’s faces in the street.

Browne would approach women in the street, attack them verbally and then belch squarely in their faces. The same treatment was given to car drivers, Browne would wander into the road and confront drivers with the same behaviour he used on pedestrians.

This week a judge fined Browne $300 after he admitted to the charges. In his defence Browne said he behaved this way because people “looked at him funny”.
