Black Magic Sacrifice Allegation

A childless couple in Dabri, India have been accused of attempting to sacrifice a neighbour’s seven year old daughter during the solar eclipse on Friday, in a bid to conceive a male child.

Pawan Kumar and his wife Sanju have reported to police that their daughter was taken to the house of Sudheer Saha, a neighbour, where she was made to tie a string around a woman’s arm, had ash smeared on her forehead and told to put on a black garment of clothing. Sanju also alleges that this was the beginning of a sacrificial ceremony to ensure the woman conceived a boy child.

The Kumar’s say they were alerted to the murderous plot by another neighbour and rushed to the Saha house to free their daughter. Inside the house were two friends of Sudheer Saha, who were visiting him. The couple, who have been trying to conceive for some time told the police that a priest from a local temple instructed them that if the woman wore a sacred thread on her arm that was blessed by a baby it would improve their chances of the woman getting pregnant. Sudheer Saha claims he asked the Kumar’s daughter to bless the thread as she was conveniently nearby, and that was their only intention.

The priest in question, Ram Krishna Sharma, denies all knowledge of the conversation or even meeting Sudheer Saha’s friends.
