Two Headed Snake

by Earl Morningstarr
Two Headed Snake thumbnail

A snake with two heads hatched from it’s egg this week in a pet store in New York.

Dianne Dedominicis is the owner of Markheim Tropical Fish and Pets and has been breeding captive reptiles for 30 years. The two headed snake is actually a conjoined twin, two snakes hatched from the same egg which became fused together during development. The snakes have separate heads and tails, they’re joined along the body but have separate internal organs.

Dianne warns that although the snakes will make good pets, as do all corn snakes, the owner will have to be careful that snakes don’t get over excited during feeding time or they might try to devour each other. Talk about sibling rivalry!
