Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on May 31, 2008
Following the good news that Peter Jackson is back onboard for the eagerly anticipated filming of Tolkien’s The Hobbit, The Morningstarr* is saddened to learn that Ian Holm will not be reprising his role as Bilbo Baggins.
An insider working for a British tabloid has leaked the news that Scottish actor James McAvoy is the favourite to get the part.
McAvoy is no stranger to fantasy fiction, he is best remembered for playing Mr Tumnus in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The deal is not set in stone however, and readers might be interested to know that Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Black are two other names currently being whispered about in the same breath as Bilbo.
